What I Wore: to a wedding

I went to a wedding in Virginia Beach this past weekend.

50s dress: thrifted
Quite a few friends have complained of how difficult it is to find wedding appropriate outfits but I enjoy getting dolled up. I guess I'm lucky in that my friends are pretty casual, laid-back folks? What have your experiences been with wedding outfits?

The location was a very serene waterfront park, but my phone was dying so... derp.

I squealed when I saw the centerpieces...

  3. I love that dress!  I know I've seen it before, but it is basically perfect for attending a wedding.  makeup also excellent, you look like a 50's movie star incognito. I also have to say that I like the booties.  Sometimes I find lace-up booties to be hideous, but those are unique and not-cheap-enough to look klassy.

  4. aha! I couldn't remember where I thrifted this-- it was with you in minneapolis!!
thanks for the booties comment-- I used to greatly dislike ankle boots but I think key is how they fit you. personally, don't think these are for every body type

  5. That dress is stunning on you!  Ahh I love a 50s silhouette.  And those centerpieces!  Too too perfect!  That amethyst is just beyond and the cats are adorable.

  6. Hey, If you like the terrarium centerpieces in the images above, you should check out the terrariums on etsy. I have found a few really cute ones with scenes in them, like the ones here.
