Easiest Ever Last Minute Xmas DIY Gift: Bath Salts

Need to make last minute presents? Homemade Bath Salts are a easy yet  thoughtful gifts you can personalize. These are great for baths or foot soaks when dissolved in hot water.

You Need:
epsom salt
mixing bowl and whisk
essential oils of your choice: I used lavender and eucalyptus.
jars
ribbon
gift tags with holes punched in them

Optional (but worth it):
funnel
baking soda (softening)
sea salt (purifying)
food coloring (prettifying)
sticker labels
electric mixer

Instructions:
(Optional: Mix up epsom salts, baking soda and sea salt. Then add food coloring and mix until throughly blended.) Mix salts with a few drops of your favorite essential oils. (Lavender is a good choice if you're unfamiliar with essential oils or making salts for a diverse group.) Put into jars, tie ribbon into bow with long tails and attach gift tag (or label the jar with a sticker). Voila!

Tips:
*freeprettythingsforyou is a great resource for free, pre-made gift tags and labels (and where I eventually discovered mine).
*The choice of oils is where you can really personalize this gift. Try combinations like patchouli and amber, vanilla and cinnamon or orange and clove per your friends' tastes.
*Don't forget to make some for yourself.

Did any of you make your xmas gifts?
